How the figures are counted
Enquiry figures are counted from the site’s own form submissions, with test submissions removed. Traffic and WhatsApp figures are GA4, September 2026. Share of voice is measured across [KEYWORD SET — n keywords, tool] .
Where they started
Cottage Properties sell masías, farmhouses and heritage rural property across Catalonia — a market where the buyer is often international and the seller is usually a family who has owned the property for generations.
They launched a new website in September 2024. They already had an SEO agency in place, and were looking for a team who could take the company further.
“We were getting maybe one seller enquiry a month through the website. I didn’t feel we were maximising our potential with our previous SEO agency.”
Àngels Sabater, Cottage Properties
[DRAFT — Àngels to approve or rephrase in the interview]
That one-a-month figure is her recollection rather than a measurement. The site was new, and there isn’t analytics history from before it launched. What we can measure starts from September 2024.
The commercial problem was specific. Buyer enquiries are relatively easy to generate in Spanish property — the portals produce them, and the portals capture the value. Seller enquiries are the scarce ones. An agency’s inventory is its business, and for a specialist in rural heritage property, a seller who finds you directly rather than through Idealista is worth considerably more than a buyer who does.
What we did
[INTERVIEW — this section needs your account. Cover:]
- The seller-side content architecture. The /vender/ landing pages are the single biggest source of seller enquiries in the data — 57 of the 117 came directly from them. What was the thinking, and how are they structured?
- Multilingual architecture across Spanish, Catalan and English, and how that maps to the rural Catalan seller versus the international buyer
- Property listing architecture — feeds, sold property handling, location taxonomy, whatever actually bit
- The technical constraints you hit on Statamic
- The digital PR campaigns, and which produced which coverage
- Was October 2025 a campaign? Seller enquiries jumped to 18 that month against a typical 4 or 5. If something drove it, that’s the most interesting single datapoint in two years of data
Results
Seller enquiries
117 direct seller enquiries have come through the website’s forms since we started work in November 2024. That’s an average of 5.1 a month, against roughly one a month before.
The pattern is worth noting: seller enquiries were running at 3 or 4 a month through early 2025, and have held at 7 or 8 a month through 2026. The growth isn’t a spike that decayed.
Nearly half (57 of the 117) arrived directly on the Catalan and Spanish seller landing pages rather than through the general contact form — these are property owners searching with intent, landing on a page built for them, and enquiring from it.
Buyer enquiries
742 direct buyer enquiries across the property enquiry forms and the general contact form. Buyers matter commercially, but in this market they’re the easier half — the significance is that they arrived directly rather than through a portal, so Cottage Properties owns the relationship.
Over 60 enquiries a month initiated from the website, about two a day. In rural Spanish property this channel is not a nice-to-have — for a seller in their sixties with a family masía, WhatsApp is often the only channel they’ll actually use.
Visibility
4,600 organic users a month, and 10% organic share of voice across their keyword set — second only to Idealista, and ahead of every other agency competing in the niche.
Being second to a portal is the realistic ceiling in Spanish property search. Being ahead of every other agency is the part that matters commercially.
Coverage
14 press and broadcast outlets have covered or linked to Cottage Properties, including El Confidencial, TV3 Telenotícies, Idealista News and Hola!, through a combination of SEO work and digital PR.

Portfolio growth, and what we can’t claim
Cottage Properties’ portfolio has grown from around 150 properties to 294 over the same period.
We’re not claiming that as our result. Winning a listing takes direct outreach, valuation visits, reputation and closing — all of which is their team’s work. What we can say is that a steady flow of inbound seller enquiries supported that growth rather than constrained it, and that the enquiries themselves are measurable and attributable.
What we’d say honestly
There’s no clean before-and-after here. Their website launched in September 2024 and we started in November, so there’s no year of pre-engagement analytics to compare against. The one-enquiry-a-month baseline is the client’s own recollection, and we’ve labelled it as such rather than dressing it up as data.
What is measurable is two full years of engagement: 55 seller enquiries in 2025, and 55 in the first nine months of 2026 — a pace that’s up roughly a third year on year, on a base that was already working.
